CUSTOMIZING YOUR FREE WORDPRESS PAGE
WordPress free page is very user friendly. I assume that at this point, you can log in to your free web page in order to customize your pages. After login, you’ll see the home page as indicated below

Hover your cursor on pages. You will see a popup of All Pages and Add New. If you have created some pages already, then just click on All Pages to display the pages already created. Else, you click on Add New instantly or get to the All Pages and click on the Add New button as displayed in the second image below.
Adding a new page to your WordPress
After that, you’ll see a new page. You may click on any of the templates in order to use it or better still choose blank and customize it with your own images. In this tutorial, I will choose blank so that we can customize it with our own images to suit our taste.

Adding and customizing your WordPress page title
Click next on the Add Title and edit with the name you want to add to the blog page. In this WordPress tutorial, I’ll name it Prime Blog. You can change the font of your title by clicking on the A in the top right corner. Explore through the dropdown menu on the right and choose your suitable font as shown below
Adding Images to your page
The next thing I advise is adding your own image suitable for your niche. Remember we are working with a blank page and a visual aid or graphic design will attract viewers and make them visit our page frequently. Click on the + sign on the top left corner of your dashboard. Scroll down the drop-down menu and click on image to select your own image. Click on upload to add any picture or image of your choice.
In this tutorial, I have chosen one of my old website design flyers and captioned it at the bottom, PRIME BLOG. You can resize the image on the page by clicking, holding and dragging the knots that display at the edges of the image. You can also crop your image by clicking on the crop tool on the console that appears above the image. WordPress is very simple to the extent that you can highlight the caption, click on the A you see on the top right corner of your dashboard, and format the caption as you deem fit. This is shown in the image below.

Adding more features to your WordPress page
Following same procedure involved in adding the image, I am adding a preformatted text to the page to add a little variety. I am also using same procedure to create an equal half split screen where I can write anything about my page.

I have clicked on the + sign in the consoles representing each column to add a gallery (a collection of images) and paragraphs. These are shown in the images below.
I have embedded a link of my twitter account on the page by following same procedure as adding images to create the link. The images below will guide you.
Embedding links into your web page
This page can serve as a static page on your website. You can also use it as a home page and talk about the main services you render. This page can be used to display your achievements as an organization, etc. Remember that what you have learnt from this tutorial is not limited to the free version of WordPress. It can be used to customize your pages even if you upgrade to premium version. Because the free version is limited, you will not have access to most of the tools that can really make your pages standout.
